SynthFam DSP is a small, San Francisco based studio that develops music apps for iPhone and iPad. It was founded in 2023 by Joshua Totemwongse, a software engineer with incredible talent and intense passion for making electronic music.
Our Story
I have always dreamed of doing something that combined my passion for software development and my love of music creation. In 2020 I began exploring eurorack and the current music apps landscape for iOS. I got inspired by the advancements in music technology and creativity on the iOS platform and started to envision building a music app experience of my own.

Our mission is to create innovative, multitouch music apps that inspire creativity and empower musicians of all skill levels through intuitive design, expressive control, and powerful real-time audio tools. Whether you’re performing live, jamming on the go, or just exploring new sounds, SynthFam DSP provides you the technology to play, experiment, and create sound with your fingertips.
